After a thorough review, Coop has decided to focus its collaboration with Tropenhaus Frutigen entirely on the successful fish farming business, as of 21 May 2024. Tropenhaus Frutigen believe in the future of sustainable production of Swiss caviar and perch. The SME in Frutigen will hereby fully focus on an important core business area, thus laying the foundations for its continued successful operation.
This closure follows an in-depth analysis, which was conducted for economic reasons. The Tropenhaus Frutigen regrets the need to close this portion of the business. The affected employees will be offered alternative employment within the Coop Group.
Customers have the opportunity to redeem their voucher with us until 20 May 2024. After that, the vouchers can be exchanged for Coop gift cards. We will inform you in due course what the process will look like and therefore ask you not to send us any vouchers until then.
The Escape Room will remain open until further notice despite the closure of the Tropenhaus.
