The orchid garden

The riot of colour in the orchid garden alone makes it a miniature paradise at Tropenhaus Frutigen.

The constant warm temperature in the hothouse has made it possible to establish a modest but fine collection of orchid varieties and other exotic beauties. The specially created microclimate is very similar to the conditions found in humid tropical mountain forests, which also allows 4 different vanilla varieties to grow alongside the orchids.
