Bushy herbaceous plant to subshrub with succulent, fleshy, sparsely hairy leaves. The lemon leaf flowers in a long panicle with light blue, mint-like flowers and develops very small capsules.
The leaves have a pronounced lemon flavour and can be used for smoking. The fleshy leaf can be used chopped as a herb in food or can be infused to make tea.
The fruity leaves are best enjoyed dried for tea, as a herb, or fresh in sweet dishes.
